Truss library
The Truss Library used the precedent of a truss to create the overall design of the building, blurring the lines between its constructional and decorative purpose. The typical shape of a truss was reimagined in order to inform the internal spaces of the library and create interesting mezzanine levels that overlook one another. Open spaces are contrasted with more private secluded reading areas in order to accommodate all users of a library.






The design process was guided by the creation of physical models that offered variations the the design and the model that was best suited was then progressed with.
